Sex Abuse Prevention Programs

St. Anne's Juvenile Sex Offender Project was the first program of its kind in New York State to offer comprehensive assessment and treatment services to youthful sex offenders and their families in a non-residential setting. This program provides specialized sexual offender treatment services on an outpatient basis to males and females, ages 8 to 18, in a multi-county catchment area (in Albany and Rensselaer counties) This program provides services that are secular in nature and receives funding from  the Albany County Department for Children, Youth and Families, Rensselaer County Office of Mental Health, and on a fee-for-service basis.  A dedicated team of highly trained therapists works to interrupt the cycle of abuse in its early stages and reduce the number of sexual abuse victims. Program staff also strives to help youngsters resolve their own victimization issues.

St. Anne Institute's Sex Abuse Prevention Program provides specialized assessment and treatment services to incest families in Albany, Saratoga and and Warren Counties. Families with male and female victims through age 17 benefit from group, individual and various combinations of family-focused therapy. Therapist and family members work together to resolve issues surrounding sexual abuse and attempt to eliminate the further incidents of sexual abuse.

St. Anne's Fee for Service Program provides assessment and treatment services to individuals with sexual abuse who are not eligible for services under regular funding sources. The Troy and Hudson Falls offices provides clinical services to adults who have sexual behavioral problems.
