St. Anne's non-residential programs share the common philosophy that families are the focus of our interventions. By emphasizing family strengths, and by helping children and their families cope with the extreme stresses they confront, we help break cycles of abuse and victimization. St. Anne's Day Services Program is limited to adolescent females (ages 12-17.) All other Non-Residential programs are open to male and female clients and their families.

Day Treatment Services
Through our Day Services Program, adolescent females (ages 12-17) from the Capital Region and the city of Albany can benefit from St. Anne's clinical and specialized school program year-round while still living at home. Youngsters are referred to us by county Departments of Social Services and School District Committees on Special Education.

Strenghtening Families Program
The program is geared toward adults who reside in Albany County and have problematic parenting and or ineffective parenting approaches. Parents attend parent education courses which are experiential in nature, which eliminates the need for parents to read or write. Follow up homebased services are provided to parents to address themes addressed in the parenting classes and provide case management services.

Vocational Day Services
Young men and women from Albany County (ages 14-19) with a history of mental illness and/or conduct difficulties can benefit from the vocational training, job placement, individual, group and family counseling this program offers. Referral sources include Albany County Departments of Children, Youth and Families, Probation, Family Court, School Districts, treatment agencies or families.

Rensselaer County Unified Services Program
This program is aimed at juvenile sex offenders ages 8 to 18 living in Rensselaer County. Emphasis is placed on children under the age of 15 who are in need of community-based treatment and are less likely to receive the appropriate level of services through the juvenile justice or child welfare systems. Clients referred by Rensselaer County departments of probation and social services, police, courts, schools, treatment agencies and families.

Transitional Learning Center
This program is aimed at Albany City school district students in grades 4-6 who are experiencing significant behavioral difficulties in the classroom. Designed as a short-term treatment program, participants spend from 30-90 days learning behavioral, social and academic skills in order for them to transition back to their home school. Parent counseling and family therapy are provided. Students are referred by Albany City School principals.

SASSY (St. Anne Institute and Samaritan Shelter for Youth) program In collaboration with Samaritan Shelter, St. Anne Institute will provide intensive servies to youth ages 7-17 who are residents of Albany County and who are placed in Samaritan Shelter. Services to the youth and their families will begin within 24 hours of the youths placement. The mission of the program is to secure resources and supports to safely maintain the youth in home, school and the community.
