Community Services
St. Anne's non-residential programs share the common philosophy that families are the focus of our interventions. By emphasizing family strengths and by helping children and their family's cope with the extreme stresses they confront, we help families break cycles of abuse and victimization. St. Anne's Day Treatment Services Program is limited to adolescent females (ages 12-17). All other Non-Residential programs are open to male and female clients and their families.
Day Treatment Services Through our Day Treatment Program, adolescent females (ages 12-17) from the Capital Region and the city of Albany can benefit from St. Anne's clinical and specialized school program year-round while still living at home. Vocational Day Services Young men and women from Albany County (ages 14-19) with a history of mental illness and/or conduct difficulties can benefit from the vocational training, job placement, individual, group and family counseling this program offers. Referral sources include Albany County Departments of Children, Youth and Families, Probation, Family Court, School Districts, treatment agencies or families. Integrated Pre-School and Day Care Program for three and four year olds At St. Anne, our goal is to prepare our preschoolers (ages 3-5) for a lifetime journey of growing, learning and succeeding. Our preschool offers innovative teaching practices and a staff that is dedicated to providing educational and emotional growth to all of its students, while encouraging a love of learning and a strong sense of self.Designed to meet the needs of 3 and 4 year olds who have speech, language or behavioral problems. Sex Abuse Prevention Services Providing specialized assessment, treatment, case management and consultation services to child victims (up to age 18) and their families. Fee for Service Program Provides specialized assessment, treatment and consultation services to individuals and families experiencing problems related to sexual abuse. Also providing training and consultation, regionally and statewide to agencies regarding sexual abuse identification, evaluation and treatment. Rensselaer County Unified Services Progam This program is aimed at juvenile sex offenders ages 8 to 18 living in Rensselaer County. Emphasis is placed on children who are under the age of 15 who are in need of community-based treatment and are less likely to receive the appropriate level of services through the juvenile justice or child welfare systems. Clients referred by Rensselaer County departments of probation and social services, police, courts, schools, treatment agencies and families. Contact: Linda Priest (518) 437-6615 lpriest@s-a-i.org Transitional Learning Center This program is aimed at Albany City school district students in grades K-6 who are experiencing significant behavioral difficulties in the classroom. Designed as a short-term treatment program, participants spend from 30-90 days learning behavioral, social and academic skills in order for them to transition back to their home school. Parent counseling and family therapy is provided. Referrals are made by Albany City School Principals and Safe School Court. The program is located at North Albany Academy. Training Training and consultation to local and regional and state-wide agencies on issues related to the identification and treatment of child sexual abuse, sexual offender treatment and systemic, solution-oriented treatment interventions on both the treatment of sexual offending and sexual victimization.
